Concurrent Enrollment

DCAC & EAOP Concurrent Enrollment program partners with five bay Area community colleges to offer cohort 10th and 11th-grade students the opportunity to enroll in spring college courses. Students build a more competitive college application profile by earning transferable college credit through virtual or in-person classes, without paying tuition, fees or course material costs. Students will select from a list of transferable courses that will appear on official transcripts to be reported on college applications. In addition to the enrolled community college course, students will attend Saturday Academic Skill Seminars (SASS), which cover topics such as: navigating college resources, financial literacy, honing professional development and networking skills to successfully transition to college and more.

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT FAQ

2. What is the DCAC & EAOP Concurrent Enrollment application process?

DCAC & EAOP students must complete a Concurrent Enrollment program application by November 2, 2025, using a personal and accessible email address. Email is the primary mode of communication for admissions updates, enrollment action items and program information. We do not recommend using "iCloud" or school emails for our program or community college enrollment as communications will not reach you. Here is a support article with instructions on how to create a Google Mail "gMail" account....

3. What classes do students take?

Students can select their desired course from a DCAC & EAOP Concurrent Enrollment course list curated by the program and community college partners. Typically, these courses will be UC/CSU transferrable courses.

4. Do students receive high school credit?

Selected courses will be acceptable for high school credit. Students who would like to receive high school credit from their college courses must consult with their high school counselor. The majority of the courses from the curated list will be UC/CSU transferable courses and will be on their community college transcript.

5. How much does Concurrent Enrollment program cost?

Academic programs are at no cost to program participants. Supplemental support will be provided to students for any course materials associated with the courses they are enrolled in. During the application process, students are able to indicate their interest in applying for transportation subsidy. Please reach out to Academics Program Coordinator Angelica Garcia at angelicagarcia@berkeley.edu for more information.

6. How can I obtain a copy of my Community College transcript?

Students can obtain a copy of their community college transcript from their community college’s online student portal.
